It's Business Time!

Hopefully by now everyone knows who Flight of the Conchords are, but in case you don't I am going to introduce them to you right now. Rich and I discovered them sometime last year, and we love them to death! I'd seen this video before, but Heidi just emailed it to me, and I busted up when I watched it again. I wanted to share the laughs with the rest of you, too. I'd say "I hope you like it," but I don't have to because I KNOW you'll LOVE it. Especially if you're married. Its funny because its TRUE! hahaha you all know it!

We're baa-aack!

That's right, we're back!!! The laptop died what seems like forever ago, but we finally got a new computer yesterday--she's a beauty! Anyway, I'm psyched to put some pictures up because we've actually done some CRAZY-FUN things lately! I'm just gonna get right to the pictures. Probably the most fun we've ever had, just so you know!

~THE CRUISE~

Super excited for our first excursion!

Richard made friends w/ our
spanish-speaking guide, of course.

You could find us dancing in the club after we
wowed the crowd w/ our karaoke talents!

Welcome to St. Thomas!
Best weather I've ever experienced in December!

It was a virgin, and it was FABULOUS!

Why not? We were on vacation!

Kinda looks like a postcard, huh?!

We'd be great pirates!

Ok, so we didn't find this REAL starfish,
but the people who did let us take pictures w/ it!

We thought renting a scooter would be fun.

The ride along the coast was beautiful!

But we soon discovered that the brakes were no good.

And I had to hike it up this HUGE hillside

because our scooter was a peice of junk! I was FURIOUS!

It didn't take long to get happy again.
Look at that view!
Back to the Mother Ship.

I think everyone's favorite night was the
Chocoholic's buffet!

I know mine was! It was HEAVEN!
Happy New Year! We started 2009 right!

Rich, me and Dad going snorkling.

The end of the perfect week!

No shoes, no shirt, no problems...well, Rich
had to wear a shirt most of the time because
of his skin tone, but you know what I mean!

And then, just when I thought life couldn't get
any better... we went to...

CELINE DION

She was AMAZING!

Who am I?!

My favorite girls ready for the show of a lifetime!

Not sure why we can never seem to figure out

how to buy 7 tickets sitting TOGETHER, but

it didn't really matter. We all had fun!

I feel like we waited forever for this moment...

It was worth every second!

Rach found me in that HUGE crowd!

Not sure what song this was, but I know I loved it!

We were screaming. This was after I stopped crying haha!

Do I love Celine? YES!

Top night! Seriously the best girls night ever!

?2008?

Still no computer for pictures or anything fun, so here's another Questionnaire!

In a Mortuary...of course!

- What was your status by Valentines Day?
Hot and heavily married to Richard ;)

- Were you in school anytime this year?
Seriously?

- Did you have any encounters with the police?
Do the fake police on campus count? They gave me quite a few tickets!

- Where did you go on vacation?
St. George, Payson Lakes, Bozeman, THE CARIBBEAN!

- What did you purchase that was over 100 dollars?
A stupid scooter.

- Did you know anybody who passed away?
Bernie Mac and Paul Newman. I felt like I knew them.

Into the biggest apartment at the mortuary.

- What sporting events did you attend?
A Bees game, 1 Jazz game, 1 WSU football game, University 1st Ward's Turkey Bowl (I definitely scored a touch down!)

What concerts/shows did you go to?
Jason Mraz, almost NKOTB, should've been Celine (postponed to Feb!)

- Describe your birthday:
Dale "Money Bags" Smith funded the whole fam to go laser tagging and to a movie and dinner. My parents and sisters took me and Rich to Red Robbin (that was definitely the highlight!)

DECEMBER

- Made new friends?
Yep! Michaela and Rachel. Love 'em!

Probably the night that Rich and I decided to go somewhere new and fun that we had never been for a date. We drove all over and finally ended up at Taco Time for 99 cent crisp bean burritos. We've definitely been there before, but we just couldn't pass it up!

- Other than home, where did you spend most of your time?
Getting my soul sucked out of me at freaking Weber.

No. For the first season ever.

Finally started dying it again!

You mean how young? 23

- Do you have a New Years resolution?
GRADUATE!

- Do anything embarrassing?
Me? No. That kind of thing never happens to me.

- Get married or divorced?
Stayed married. We should probably get some kind of award for that!

- Been snowboarding?
Yeah, and sprained my wrist. I'm a pro.

- Did you get sick this year?
Sick of school, not having money, Ogden, being on-call at the mortuary, Sarah Palin, car problems, scooter problems, and rude people.

- Are you happy to see 2008 end?
9 is my lucky number, so I'm just anxious to see what this year will bring.

Are we there yet?

Rich and me with you-know-who at the Ogden Lights

Yes we are here...the end of the semester has finally come! Finals are over, grades are posted, and ITS ABOUT FREAKIN' TIME! I have been a major slacker on the blogging front, but it paid off in the school department. I graduate in May, and if I can keep myself in check I'll get to wear one of those fancy-shmancy cords around my neck with my cap and gown with the smarties (I've really tricked them into thinking I belong in that group!). I'm keeping my fingers crossed! Rich did really well in his classes, too. We are so ready for this break and all it has to offer: St. George for Christmas, a cruise for New Year's (thanks to Shirl and Tony!).

Anyway, hope you're all enjoying time off of school and this wonderful Christmas season! More updating to come.

YES WE CAN!

"To those who would tear this world down - we will defeat you. To those who seek peace and security - we support you. And to all those who have wondered if Americas beacon still burns as bright - tonight we proved once more that the true strength of our nation comes not from the might of our arms or the scale of our wealth, but from the enduring power of our ideals: democracy, liberty, opportunity, and unyielding hope." -President Obama

America has a new main man, and his name is Barrack Obama! I watched all of the debates, did research on both candidates, and we both cast our votes for Obama and Biden. Jeremy, Megan and Scott came over to watch the election updates with us, and it was a night we'll never forget. History was made, and I think this is one of those things we will look back on and always remember where we were when this happened. I've been excited about this for awhile. I voted early, and I've been having great discussions with my dad about the whole campaign. We voted for changes that will affect us in the next 4 years: we want to buy a house, I want to get my Masters degree, and maybe start having kids (which would be nice to have health care when it happens!). This is going to affect all of us, and I know that we don't all have the same ideas about who should be President, but that's ok. But I believe this historic event is one that will change our lives for the better, and I'm so excited I got to be a part of it! God bless America!
